You can catch "Carter Edwards Country" on Radio 2HD 1143AM every Sunday evening. It's six hours of great country music, news, chat and a barrel of laughs as the maestro ad libs his way through the script that never was!

Way back in 1985 Carter Edwards was tricked into an on air audition for Radio 2HD Newcastle. Before he knew it he was hosting a six hour show on the station every Sunday night. He has kept doing it ever since and seems to get better and better!

Carter's domination of the 6 hour Sunday night time slot means he is very much in demand with Advertisers looking to drive their dollars further. And Carter gives his advertisers fantastic value for money. Probably no Australian personality works as hard when it comes to keeping the advertisers happy.

Carter is famous within the industry as an on-air personality who can put his show together "on the fly". Nothing is planned in advance and in fact he is the only Network host who goes to air with a blank Program Sheet. "Make it flow and just let it go" is the adage Carter lives by. It works well with his live performances and works equally well on air.

In 2005 Carter's incredible radio achievements were recognised when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame by the Australian Country Music Foundation. Simply click the following link to read the official citation.

Across almost two decades Carter Edwards has seen multiple changes of Program Directors, Chief Executive Officers and Station Owners. He's seen them come and he's seen them go but the "Carter Edwards Country" program continues to go from strength to strength.
