Carter's
acting and presentation skills have made him
a popular choice with the advertising
industry and assured him a regular flow of
work in television, radio and film. This
included his now quite famous Taubmans
Paint commercial
which won an International
Clio Award
He has
also acted in feature films such as "Walk
the Talk",
now distributed by 20th Century Fox and
Dreamworks SKG. Carter plays a leading role
in the guise of Marty Raye, an upbeat
cabaret performer.

synopsis:
Joey's girlfriend Bonita is a
paraplegic, the legacy of a relatively
recent car accident. She and Joey are
members of the local evangelical church
where Bonita sings and, with difficulty,
gives thanks. (Bonita was enlisted into the
congregation by the charismatic Pastor Bob
while in hospital recovering from her
accident.)
But
then Joey meets Nikki after she sat down
beside him at a self-motivational course
designed to help awaken that apparently
unused 85 per cent of one's brain!
A
slightly crazy wannabe singer, Nikki will do
anything for publicity. Joey becomes so
obsessed with establishing Nikki's career
that he sets up the Joe Grasso Creative
Management Agency. Bonita works in the front
office and Nikki is the only talent on the
books - but Joey is definitely not in
love with Nikki, oh no! The rest of the
story unfolds....!

for the Taubman's Paint company

When
Sydney advertising Agency Hertz
Walpole used him in the starring role of
their one minute "I did it my way"
television commercial on behalf of the
Taubman's Paint Company they had no idea
what a smash hit it would become! Carter's
role as the lovable singing house painter
became an icon which won both local and
International advertising industry awards
including a coveted Clio
Award
in the "World's Best Commercial"
category.
Taubman's
were so impressed with Carter's personality
and presentation skills that they used him
in subsequent TV, radio and print campaigns
for the next 8 years!
